On November 11, 2021 the Kiwanis Club of Kent gathered together and welcomed 9 new members to their club. The club met at Maggie's on Meeker for their noon-time weekly meeting. Lt. Kent Service Clubs Team Up for Day of Service to Celebrate Community Green River Trail cleanup collaboration part of larger international day of service Kent, Washington (October 18) —Community service is the focus of a project of Kent-based service clubs collaborating this weekend during “Celebrate Community.” Around 75 volunteers from Kiwanis, Rotary, Lions, Aktion Club, Key Club, Interact Club, and Rotaract The initiative unites local clubs from the four major volunteer service organizations — Kiwanis, Lions, Optimist and Rotary International — to focus on joint community service projects during the week of October 10-16. This first public effort encourages local clubs to reach out to one another to work together on projects that improve and benefit local communities.
